Trying to find space in your condo for all of your belongings, furniture, and décor?
This is no easy task. You may be racking your brain on how to fit everything without making your space feel small or cluttered. Fortunately, there are a handful of steps you can take to optimize your space.
Follow these seven room-saving tips for spacious condo living! (Tips from interior designers, they know what they are doing so pay attention).
1. Part With Items You Don’t Anticipate Using
We all have items in our homes that we are hesitant to let go of. However, parting with some of this clutter is one of the best starting points for optimizing the space in your condo.
Before you attempt to rearrange your small space furniture and décor for condo living, clean out some of the items you no longer need. You can donate them or sell them via an online marketplace!
2. Make Use of Storage Containers
Chances are that there are all types of items scattered throughout your home that you don’t use on a regular basis.
Start packing some of these items into large, plastic storage containers. These containers can easily be labelled, stacked in a closets or underneath a bed, and accessed as needed.
3. Purchase Multifunctional Furniture
Furniture tends to take up the most real estate in a condo. Avoid the pitfall of having too many pieces of furniture by buying multifunctional furniture instead.
There are coffee tables that double as ottomans and dining tables that double as office desks, for example. This will allow you to enjoy all of the normal functions of your furniture while using a fraction of the space.
4. Identify Any Hidden Compartments in Your Furniture
Today, many types of small space furniture feature storage compartments—whether it’s an ottoman that has a centre console or a bed that has a pull-out drawer. Use this space to store extra items that need a home.
5. Take Advantage of Your Room’s Verticality
Most of the type, we think to arrange items horizontally, but in order to maximize your space for condo living, it’s critical that you think vertically as well. You can achieve this by hanging additional shelves, or by stacking items on top of cabinets and existing furniture.
6. Move Your Tables and Chairs Closer to a Wall
While you may be tempted to place a table and chairs in the centre of your dining room, consider moving them closer towards a wall. This will improve the circulation of the room so that you can walk uninhibited from one room to the next.
7. Use Brighter Colours Throughout Your Home
Did you know that colour has a significant impact on how crammed your condo might appear?
As a rule of thumb, brighter colours tend to create a sense of space in a room, as they can reflect more light. Conversely, darker tones reflect less light—often making your furniture and decor appear overcrowded.

Sculptural gold detailing wraps around soft, textured upholstery, turning these chairs into conversation pieces from every angle. Light, refined, and quietly dramatic — the kind of design that doesn’t just fill a space, it defines it.

A bedroom should feel grounded, layered, and effortlessly balanced.
Rich wood tones, soft neutral bedding, and warm lighting come together to create a space that feels both elevated and inviting. The canopy frame adds structure without heaviness — defining the room while keeping it calm.
This is how a bedroom becomes a retreat.

Art doesn’t always hang on a wall — sometimes it is the wall.
Soft, fluid movement in muted tones transforms this dining space into something serene and sculptural. The layered wall covering sets the mood, while warm metallic frames and textured seating keep the room grounded and inviting.

Art is the finishing touch that makes a room feel personal.
In this space, we’re moving pieces throughout the home to find the perfect balance — mixing sizes, colours, and styles until everything feels intentional.
Because the right artwork doesn’t just fill a wall… it sets the tone for the entire room.
Where would you hang your favourite piece: entryway, living room, or bedroom?
